[REL]Kyodin Armor v1.3 + house!+samurai companions!+sheath!

Info:

Black samurai armor, complete with 6 versions of the helm
(orc mask with and with out plume, demon mask with and without plume,open,
and masked), a quiver, two versions of the pauldron,(padded and not), a dai-katana,
an axe(complete with offhand), a bow,a katana and a blocking wakizashi.

Changes:

-modified the textures to look more like samurai

-changed the quiver so that it would bipe on the clavicle and not the neck
(thx to legato)

-added a bow

-added a base

-added companions(based on the companion mod by Emma)

-added sniperdaria's kimonos

-added a new version of the helm

-erased the shady smuggler

Er,...i think that's it...

To get the armor, go to the boat at Vivec's foreign quarter. There you'll
see a japanese house(made by sniperdaria), and an argonian fighting 4 samurai
in orange armor. Help the argonian and she'll teleport you (for a fee) to
the kyodin outpost. All armor and weapons are there. Just look around.

NOTE:
ALL .esp plugin files MUST BE ACTIVATED

Is that Legato's Saya (katana sheath) in SS_100.jpg? If so, is it part of this mod, or just something you happened to be wearing while taking screen shots? Also, if it is included with this mod, has the issue of it making your left thigh disappear been resolved?

OMG! Yes! How could I forget! Yes! That is legato's sheath, but I included it in the mod and attached it to the kyodin greaves, so no, no left leg disappearing.

You are my personal hero of the day for putting the polish on that Japanese scabbard. I'd seen the incomplete version floating around that made your left thigh disappear, and I thought it had a ton of potential. I was hoping someone would pick up the torch and get rid of that whole phantom limb effect.

Sorry to say
I have found some errors

1.-every time you go out of the house or the armory
my character falls through the wooden dock

2.-when open the uper door of light house
character falls to the bottom

3.- Double Doors inside the House

4._Character always stuck haftway when getting out the Dojo house

5.- All guards "DO NOT" know that you help the Lizard.

they will attack if you pick up a weapon.

Which weapon did you pick up? Try going to the Kyodin Dojo, there's a crate at the end of the room with all the weapons and some arrows.

Yeah, I made it integrated to groin in my Last Samurai armor mod.

EDIT: Heh , seems like you have been also using some other stuff from my Last Samurai armor mod.

Kudos to you as well, Legato! I knew that you had created the original version of the Saya, in which wearing it made the player's left thigh disappear, but I just assumed that Samuraidoykins had come up with the "fix" that allowed it to be worn without that effect. I wasn't aware that you had advanced the Saya to that next level yourself. You have my gratitude for all your hard work, Legato.

I didn't have 3dsmax, and he helped me fix up some of my meshes, and made new ones that I could use. THx to him again.

Heh, I didn't mean that . I meant the sheath, like you said that you fixed the bug by binding it to the groin part, put actually I did that in my Last Samurai armor mod, so it lead to the little misunderstanding.
You make me sound so conceited

EDIT: BTW, I checked your mod, and it seems like you didn't put my sheath script on it. So if you want really working sheath use it also, but remember to change the names of global and local variables so it won't collide with my original sheath mod.
I don't want to sound offensive, but there's nothing wrong if you use my meshes and stuff from my other mods, but please inform me, or at least include my name in readme.txt or something.

Anyway, I'm thinking of making a whole faction for the Kyodin...but unfortunately I don't have the time nor the skill...bah...wish someone else could do it. (This probably won't happen though, I bet!)

Ok, ok! I didn't want to be so offensive and disrespectful, you misunderstood me! I was just a little bit pissed off, when I thought that you were taking a credit from my sheath.
So, good luck! And about that sheath script (base is from KTX's ninja mod), it's pretty easy to make it work with your mod, only change names of the variables, but remember to change them correctly, like leg_XXX1 to SD_XXX1 and so, and remember to change script names and all necessary variables, except local variables which are defined in the beginning part of the script.

Just to let you know, I have not experienced any of the problems noted with the Japanese house portion of your mod. The original Japanese house mod has always worked fine in my game. No double doors or being stuck in the ground. I have also not had these problems when looking at your plugin.

Nor I - all aspects of this mod work smoothly for me and it looks very beautiful and carefully done.

In my opinion, this very elegant mod that pays careful attention to the traditional style it represents, has not perhaps received all the recognition it deserves - which could be a problem if all those aggressive looking companions start to come ashore in Vivec!

In the line of constructive criticism, just in case you were considering further expansion:
- the house could do with a resident geisha?
- a tasteful intoduction to the Willow World could well be situated somewhere behind the dojo or at the outpost - tea, bath house, etc?
- the companions are all male, no? (Why not some of them as female samurai, perhaps using that beautiful Redguard head that CR had in his most recent pack?)
- the Kyodin storyline and quests or did I miss it? It seemed to me the Kyodin NPC sounded like Vivec city folk when there is a great opportunity for them to be distinctly different perhaps?

But that's maybe stuff - the existing mod is beautiful and well crafted!

I just saw this in another thread and had totally managed to miss this one. Bump, indeed. I love Japanese House, and expect that this mod will be well worth it. Now, if I can ever manage to get back into my home I'll definitely be downloading this one.

Also the readme said something about companions, so I go and find the black samurai jeis or something and it says about combat and worth but there's nothing about following or waiting.

I think there is a more current add-on mod that makes the guys full companions. At least the ones who greet the boat. It's on Euro-RPG.

man, this was a great welcome back present (i treated myself )
anywho, this is a great mod, very nicely done
oh, if you ever feel like adding on or following up on this mod, check with Maazeus. he made a killer nodachi. also, acidbasik said he'd make a nodachi for me, but i guess that got alittle sidetracked, since i've been gone for months. but look into it, there are some high-quality japanese weaponry out there!

Can't find it in the mod




Point taken , I adore this mod however , I have always felt that some concept shown not only on these, but also some other screens is missing (amor, weapons). Thus, this mod would be more original project then just a great retexture-compilation work.

And The_Torturer you seem to be always out of the place (vide e.g. farmer mod tread) . The companions are there, they are just very simple, no idyviduality at all. Nice to patrol your castle, though .

I WAS ONE OF THE MOST ON TOPIC PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE FARMER THREAD(the second one anyway) besides I am talking about the mod since the companions are actually in the mod and I'm pointing out a bug in them, the reason I think it's a bug is because what is the point of having the combat topic on them if they're never going to fight anything and if they don't follow you then they shouldn't be called companions, also what castle are you talking about

I was the one who thought the companions were updated. I didn't find anything on it either. Will check again. I've been wrong before. Let's see ... it was 1957...

I must admit you are right, and I am sorry for that - you were always "on topic". Actually you were so "on topic" that the guys from farmer mod team moved from this forum, simply because they could not stand your comments . Well done. And the companions seem just to be an addition treat of the mod. They patrol my keep in Ebonheart (modified Jakey Keep). Recently they smashed some skeletons in the neighberhood

I admitted I was out of topic on the first thread, but so were half the other people, also they actually moved because I got the topic locked not because they couldn't stand my topics. That shot is definitely NOT from the Kyodin-base mod but from the WIP follow-up to that mod. It takes place on a snowy Akaviri island that is in contention for dominance by a ninja faction, a warrrior-monk faction & a samurai faction. You get to join a faction & help it win all the marbles (although I'm going to create a character named SANJURO & play all the factions against one another just to watch the ensueing chaos....)

Proudfoot , I've noticed Samuraidoykin REALLY likes black, so the KESA wrapped around that Sohei's (warrior monk) head should be either all white (the color of Death in Japan) or orange (color of Religion) & whatever checkered, but will probably remain black I think (I know I'll retexture it once it's released)

First I want to say, Samuraidoykins, you are god. Finally a good samurai mod. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. Also many for all of the people that made it possible for you to make this. But i would like to ask one question. What is combat enhanced?... Oh and also i cant find that large helmet that covers your eyes?... Where is that. Oh yea and why does MY samurai armor not look sort of like the one in the screenshots??... it doesnt bother me its just.. the screenshot one is cooler

Combat Enhanced is a mod that lets you do combos, do special attacks after the combos are completed, enter rage for even more special attacks, and slow down time.

Just keeding. Go to CS and find out the ID of you piece and add it manualy by console. This is a BETA, nothing is set in stone, stories are not finalized.
Other thing, maybe your videocard is not as performant as pesrson's who took the screenshot, that could create a diffrerence in the picture quality .

Noooo i mean the armor in the SS are completely different ersions of the armor i got. Mine is more bulky and looks different. I wanted to know if there was another WIP for a dif but similar looking armor.

this mod is the coolest mod, i love samurais and stuff, but i cant get it cause my video card is a voodoo 3!!thats like the top of the line, and it wont work for morrowind, i bought the game but it didnt work.

Ok, first of many 's for the mod, but 2ndly: I must have those redguard heads! Are they custom-made or part of a mod? Either way I would like to know if I could get my hands on them somehow.
